Performance Race Series coilovers are designed and developed for use in competitive motorsports. Through years of competition and testing, we have made improvements in setup for racing use in order to provide a durable and competitive damper.

Spring rate and shock valving are made for racing to achieve precision handling and balance. The lower mounts are manufactured from lightweight alloy aluminum to reduce unsprung weight. The pillow ball top mounts are based on McPherson struts for maximum handling and performance.

Available for most manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and various Japanese makes.

Please note, for Performance Race Series, Rubber top mount is not available for cars with McPherson Strut

Standard Features:

- Monotube Internal Design. The needle valve piston (material imported from Sweden) is utilized to make the steering more agile and to stabilize the vehicle. A high rigidity 52mm shock body(for MacPherson strut type) with extra oil capacity enables the cushioning force to have optimal linear change. We use highly reputable seal brand – NOK, whose seals can withstand high temperatures and prevent oil leakage. The piston rod is made from high quality S45C steel and is processed with Thermal Refining and High-frequency Induction Hardening Treatments for rigidity and durability. 

- Reinforced Lower Mount for a better durability on the track

 - Higher spring rate for track use and to achieve precision handling and balance.

- High-viscosity formula damping oil for competition is used for oil molecule protection against the highest temperatures to last the lifetime of the damper or longer

- Rubber top mount. For Performance Race Series, Rubber top mount is not available for cars with McPherson Strut

- Pillow Ball top mount with adjustable Camber Plate if applicable.

- Full Height Adjustable. The vehicle ride height can be adjusted easily with the lower bracket by winding up and down to drop and raise. With the lower bracket, it allows maximum suspension travel without affecting the shock stroke.

- 32 Way Dampening Adjustment. This suspension system features 32-way dampening force adjustment. A wide range of dampening adjustments can be made to provide a variety of responses to different road conditions and to tune the ride feel.

- Wave Alloy Steel Thrust Washer. For FRONT MacPherson strut models, wave alloy steel thrust washer is installed between a lower locking collar and a bottom mount. The wave thrust washer can provide a controlled amount of friction between the lower locking collar and the bottom mount to effectively prevent the lower bracket from spinning around or becoming loose.

- High Rigidity SAE9254 Steel Springs. The spring is made from high quality SAE9254 steel for optimal durability and high tensile strength. The spring rate remains unchanged and undeformed even after the spring has been subjected to long term wear and even if compressed or extended.

- Improved rear dampening adjustment. You can just easily adjust the rear dampening to your preference setting without shock removal from your ride.  

- Shock Body is coated with Electroplating treatment to prevent rust and corrosion. 

 - Top spring bearing cap. Under pillowball top mount to eliminate spring noise when cornering. 

- Adjustable spring seat and Lower Locking Collar. The spring seats are made from forged aluminum for durability and rigidity. The Lower Locking Colalr is made from forged 6061 aluminum for increased strength and rigidity.

High quality components are adopted to ensure product durability and stability. Each application is test fit and completely road tested to guarantee perfect performance and comfort.


*Please note that ALL of our coilovers are hand built and made to order. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.

*For McPherson strut vehicle, if you select Pillowball Top Mount option, it comes with Camber Plate if applicable. Several car models may NOT able to do Camber Plate

*For those people who dislike the slight noise caused by the pillow ball, rubber top mount is recommended for noise reduction and enhancement of ride comfort

*The actual colours and design may vary slightly from the images shown on the website

*R5 Racing Coilover does not support electronic damper control

*The vehicle ride height can be lowered about 50mm – 100mm from factory (varies per application)

*It's normal that Pillowball Top Mount may have some rattling sound when driving. This does not affect the performance of suspension. The warranty does not cover for Pillowball noise.
